The moment the land begins to listen—before green returns, before certainty, before becoming.

THE QUIET STIRRING

The ground is still cool, beginning to soften.
Cold earth loosens its hold.
Damp soil. Slow breath.

Snow lingers where light doesn’t quite reach.
And yet—something has begun to move.

The thaw is subtle. Almost inaudible.
A loosening beneath bark and soil.
Water threading through what was frozen.

Before green returns, sound does.
A call in the distance.
The beat of wings.
Dark wings against pale sky.

This is early spring— not full awakening,
but the moment the land begins to listen.

This New Moon, something is stirring.
Unseen.
Undeniable.

New Moon of February

Waxing toward the Crow Moon

The new moon is the fertile dark—a pause between what has been and what is becoming. Unseen ground where intention gathers quietly.

The Crow Moon marks the return of sound before abundance. Crows arrive while winter still holds—visible, watchful, calling.

Long known as messengers between worlds, they carry awareness of what is forming beneath the surface. The crow sees past, present, and future at once. It knows when to speak and when to wait. It announces change before it can be seen.

This new moon honors the stillness before re-emergence.Transition without force. The quiet awakening before greening. This is a moon for opening perception—for widening awareness enough to hear the call when it comes.

For this New Moon, we work with Open the Aperture,

formulated to open the field of perception—not by pushing forward, but by softening the edges of awareness.

At the heart of this blend are four specific Copal resins, traditionally used to clear, protect, and open energetic pathways. Copal works gently but decisively—lifting the field while keeping the body anchored and protected.

A light-filled Cypress species from the Atlas Mountains of Moroccolifts and opens the spirit, helping move blocked energy.

Dragon’s blood is woven in as the activator—deepening access to liminal and dream states, amplifying superconscious awareness and channels of abundance, while drawing expansion back into a strong, grounded core.

Together, the resins create a clean, luminous bloom—energizing and alive, yet softly grounding as it lingers.A resin for the first call—when the land is quietly waking, and you are, too.

A Note From MAMA LOUX

This time of year asks something different of me.

Not action.

Not answers.

Just attention.

The waxing Crow Moon reminds me that awareness comes before certainty—that life begins again quietly, often while the ground still looks bare.

I think of crows as watchful companions, holding past, present, and future at once.

They don’t wait for everything to be ready.

They arrive when the land begins to remember itself.

Working with resins now feels the same:

a gentle opening,

a widening of perception,

preparing the field without forcing growth.

Ritual, for me, is listening.

Nourishing the soil—seen or unseen—

so what wants to emerge has somewhere to land.

If you feel in between,

not quite here and not quite there,

you are right on time.

May you hear what’s been calling,

without asking you to rush.

May what’s quietly forming find the space it needs to emerge.

With reverence,

Mama Loux
